Teachers’ Day was celebrated on September 5, 2016 at The Punjab Public School, Nabha. In a special assembly organised for the purpose, teachers were felicitated. Anmoldeep Kaur, Head Girl enlightened everyone present on the life of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. A set of four teachers-Mohit Joshi, Hitesh Gupta, D D Vyas and BR Gordon along with Mr Garry Everett, Deputy Headmaster sang famous Bollywood numbers. Mr Garry also sang Somewhere in the world by Boney M and Smile an everlasting smile by Barry Gibb. Girls from Class-XII and lady teachers performed Giddha. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Jagpreet Singh, Headmaster, The Punjab Public School called upon the student community to make their lives meaningful by adhering to the guidance of their teachers. The day became special with the screening of a Punjabi Play Komagata Maru in the evening. It was the production of Theatre and Television Department, Punjabi University, Patiala. On this occasion, famous Punjabi actors Mr Binu Dhillon and Mr Dev Khror were present.
