57TH FOUNDERS’ DAY CELEBRATIONS

The Punjab Public School, Nabha celebrated its 57th Founders’ Day in style on October 28, 2016. The proceedings got underway with the arrival of the chief guest His Excellency V P Singh Badnore, Governor of Punjab & Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh and Chairman, the School Board of Governors, The Punjab Public School, Nabha. He took the salute and inspected the Guard of Honour. Dr Jagpreet Singh, Headmaster, The Punjab Public School, Nabha conducted the assembly and read the precept. While presenting the Headmaster’s Report, Dr Singh shared the worthy credentials of His Excellency V P Singh Badnore with the gathering and profusely thanked the patrons of the school including
Dr Rupinder Brar, Mr Sandeep Sandhu, Ms Puneeta Sandhu, Mr Harvinder Singh Dhaliwal, Ms Vandana and Ms Archana Katyal Brar, Mr Gurkiran Singh Dhillon, Mr Vijay Hooda and Mr Raj Kumar for rendering all possible help for the growth of the institution over the years. He expressed his gratitude to the Batch of 1990 for the construction of Volleyball Court in Sham Bagh. He thanked His Excellency V P Singh Badnore for instituting a Cup which will be awarded next year. Naehap Sharma, Head Boy and Anmoldeep Kaur, Head Girl read the myriad achievements of the students during the current Academic Session. Senior Cock House Trophy was given to Jumna House. Mr K C Tandon was conferred the highly prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. The Award of Roll of Honour was conferred on Dr Satish Jain (R-107), an alumnus of PPS Nabha of 1970 Batch.  On this occasion, Junior School boys put up a grand PT display. PPS girls exhibited their taekwondo skills. Senior boys performed gymnastics. Band boys put up an immaculate performance. PPS riders stole the show with their splendid performance. Speaking on the occasion, His Excellency V P Singh Badnore complimented the staff and students for putting up an excellent show. He said he was highly impressed with the exhibitions. Naehap Sharma proposed a Vote of Thanks. The function came to a close with the singing of National Anthem.
