PINEGROVE SCHOOL, DHARAMPUR LIFTS J K KATE MEMORIAL QUIZ TROPHY

JK Kate Memorial All India Inter- School Knowledge Conclave got underway at The Punjab Public School, Nabha on October 3, 2016. The 3-day event comprises Quiz, English Debate, Book Review, Creative Writing and Spell Bee Competition. The first day witnessed 9 teams who took a written test and 6 of them made it to the final. The quiz was anchored by the duo of Smiley Mittal and Ameya Batra. The format tested the participants on different parameters including history, literature, culture and tradition, sports and entertainment, politics and business. The team from Pinegrove School, Dharampur lifted the J K Kate Memorial Quiz Trophy. The runners-up trophy was won by Yadavindra Public School, Mohali. Major General TPS Waraich, VSM** (Retd) was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Waraich, who is also an alumnus of PPS, went down the memory lane and shared with the audience his fond memories with the legendary founder Headmaster, Mr J K Kate.
