The International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking is observed every year on June 26 to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and illegal trade of drug. It was in the year 1987 that the United Nations General Assembly decided to mark this day as an important annual event as an expression of its determination to strengthen action and cooperation to achieve the goal of an international society free of drug abuse. The NCC cadets of PPS took out a rally on Ripudaman College Road, Nabha to create awareness in preventing drug abuse and illicit trafficking which is the bane of every progressive society.
