These words from a teacher ring so true and worthwhile. 5th September is the Teacher’s Day to acknowledge the presence of a “GURU” as the ultimate guiding light. Every day for me is a Teacher’s Day, as they epitomise guru, father, mother, friend, philosopher, critic and guide.
This beautiful relationship allows the students to believe in their own self and grow beyond their potential. Let us together celebrate the omnipotent presence of our teachers who let us fly high and grow into beautiful beings. No praise would suffice to capture the undying spirit of a teacher?for they never let go of their students even when everyone else has caved in. All the more in this pandemic, when they are having multiple roles of learning and teaching on a medium which, in itself, is daunting and taxing. My salute to all these educational warriors for their unending battles. Please carry on, doing your best, appreciation or no appreciation.
I again end with Dr Kalam’s belief? “If a country is to be corruption-free and become a nation of beautiful minds, the three key members who can make a difference are?Mother, Father and the Teacher.

Happy Teacher’s Day! Greetings to all worthy teachers who have the credit of contributing immensely towards the building up and development of each child under their care.
It is an onerous task and I compliment all our teachers for carrying it out so earnestly to bring such magical transformation in each soul touching them tenderly with the affection of a parent and a mentor. No matter how much we thank and acknowledge our teachers, it is never enough to express our gratitude.
The kids have been entrusted to us in good faith to mould and shape them. So, let us handle them with utmost care that they may carry the most beautiful memory of us as individuals and PPS as their cradle.

Teacher’s Day celebrations

Teacher’s Day was celebrated at The Punjab Public School with gusto. The students left no stone unturned to make the day special for their teachers. The lockdown could not dampen their spirits. Though the usual charm of celebrating the day was missing, children were seen vying for posting their thoughts, speeches, uplifting songs and musical performances. They included Ajita Singh, Abhijay Pratap Singh, Prateet Kaur Dhillon, Mehtab Singh Dhillon, Hargun Buttar, Harsukh Singh Buttar, Mannat Kaur Brar, Mehtab Singh Brar, Pratham Sharma, Sohana Ahmed and Geet Sharma (Junior School) and Pramita Ranu, Anushtha Gupta, Vinayak Vyas, Aastha Vyas, Shivam Virk, Ekamveer Singh and Ananya Suryavanshi (Senior School). Some students shared their joy and enthusiasm by drawing paintings on the significance of the day. They comprised Aalampreet, Atharva Bandha, Charvi Sharma, Harshil, Jankeesh and Shaurya Gupta (Junior School) and Arpandeep Singh, Arshpreet Kaur, Bhavishya Mukhi, Ekam Ghuman, Gurleen Kaur, Gurmannat, Harsirat Kaur, Maninder, Kabir, Manav Jindal, Manjot Kaur, Palak Thakur, Prableen Kaur, Pramita Ranu, Shirin Randhawa, Shrey Jindal and Sukhman Kaur (Senior School).
In a special gathering called for the purpose in the Headmaster’s Green, the teachers, coaches and administrative staff were felicitated. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Ajay Singh, Headmaster called upon the teaching community to rev up their efforts to deliver effectively during these challenging times. Mr Rakesh Alfred, Deputy Headmaster and Mr Ankur Samuel Birkett, Bursar and Mr NS Deol, Head, Junior Wing were also present.
