The New India Education Summit (NIES) 2019 brought together some of the finest educators, institutions and innovators, to ideate and work towards the goal of ‘Education 2030’ through ‘strengthening framework and building infrastructure’.
Day one kicked off with a welcome note from Dr. Jagpreet Singh, Headmaster of The Punjab Public School and Ravi Santlani, Founder & CEO of ScooNews. Together, they set the stage for further discussions and deliberations that paved the path for the theme ‘Education 2030’.
B.L. Sharma, Education Secretary, Dept. of Education, Chandigarh, Rubinderjit Singh Brar, PCS, Director School Education, Dept. of Education, Chandigarh and Dr. Jagpreet Singh, Headmaster, The Punjab Public School, Nabha discussed the state of education in Chandigarh and shared impressive insights with the audience.
Lt. Col. A. Sekhar, Director Education of SAI International Group of Schools had open house discussion.
The event saw various panel discussions on topics around the theme ‘Education 2030’.
Additionally, the moderators who are innovators in the field, helped steer the discussion to align with the goals of the summit.
Day one ended on a fitting note with a Punjabi Potpourri hosted by The Punjab Public School children , followed by dinner…!
