Girls Hostel
Out of several projects undertaken by school under the dynamic and valuable leadership of the present headmaster, a remarkable landmark came up in the history of PPS i.e. the Ultra Modern Girls Hostel. Built over a sprawling area of 55000 square ft, it was completed in the stipulated time of one year and was inaugurated by the executive committee of school Board of Governers on July 27, 2013. At present it caters to 250 girls and is equipped with all the possible facilities such as solar water system, PA system, smoke-detectors, fire alarms, magnetic locks, visitors room, recreational room, MI, common room, two spacious prep halls, control room, air cooling system all ensuring a guarded stay for the girl students. A distinctive feature of the hostel is amphitheatre. To make the stay more homely and comfortable, clothing store, a beauty salon, changing rooms attached to their dorms have also been taken care of. A pantry in the girls boarding promotes the culinary skills among girls.
Senior Houses
To meet the increasing requirement, four houses were constructed in Sham Bagh which had government nursery. As Mr Dharma Vira’s contribution was tremendous in this project, it was decided to name it as Dharma Vira Park. The lush green lawns add to the scenic beauty ensuring proper ventilation. Four computers have been installed in each house. The overall incharge is the Coordinator Boarding Houses.
With an average strength of 57 students, each house is run by a Housemaster, Assistant Housemaster, and a set of tutors.
Middle Houses
The Old Secretariat donated by the Punjab Government to the school is used as a hostel for boys of the Middle classes of VIII and IX. The students are divided into four houses with each house headed by a Housemaster and assissted by an Assisstant House Master.
Junior Houses
The Guest House donated by the Punjab Government to the school is used as junior school. An impressive building with Marble floors and Burma teak, this building houses junior boys of classes IV to VII. Students are divided into four houses for administrative purposes. Each house is looked after by HouseMaster and Assisstant Housemaster. There are approximately 30 acres of lawns and gardens around this building.
