Annual Lt Gen Gurbachan Singh Memorial Lecture

Annual Lecture was held in the fond memory of Lt Gen Gurbachan Singh Buch (PVSM), the then President, Executive Committee of PPs, Nabha. He had the distinction of being the Commander of Northern Army. Keynote Speaker for the evening was a young educator, Mr Aman Sharma an alumnus of YPS, Mohali and at present Managing Director, ITFT College, Chandigarh. He started his career as an investment banker but gave up the lucrative opportunity and chose to bring a change in the lives of millions deprived of education. In his highly motivational talk he shared his life changing incidents. In a strong message to the young community, he emphasised that there is no substitute to hard work. He also alarmed the youth about the upcoming tsunami of technology which will engulf us all  if we don’t equip ourselves in the time to come. It was followed by interesting queries from students where they got some valuable tips on issues such as how to push oneself out of comfort zone. Dr Jagpreet Singh, Headmaster presented a token of deeply felt love and gratitude to the speaker. He addressed the gathering and thanked the guest of the evening for shaking up the future of country by highlighting alarming facts. He endorsed the fact that such lectures reassure Gen Buch’s contribution and association with the rich heritage of the school.
