Dr Sumer Singh, eminent educationist and Member, Board of Governors presided over the 70th Republic Day Celebrations at Punjab Public School, Nabha. He inspected the Guard of Honour and hoisted the tricolour. Students highlighted the contribution of Indian heroes and their struggle. School choir mesmerised everyone with the patriotic songs. Choreography presented by students lent a patriotic feel to the environment. In his address to the gathering, Chief Guest Dr Singh highlighted the historical facts about India’s Republic Evolution. Citing the importance of Independence, he dwelt at length on principles of Sovereignty, Democracy, and Secularism. Dr Jagpreet Singh, Headmaster proposed vote of thanks and presented a token of deeply felt love and gratitude.
