The Punjab Public School lifted the All India 53rd IPSC Athletics Trophy (U-19) in Boys’ Category and The Lawrence School, Lovedale in the Girls’ Category. PPS athletes stole the show on the final day with their stamina and speed and put in their best in relay events, pole vault and hammer throw. It is the fifth consecutive win for PPS. Lovepreet Singh Brar of PPS Nabha was adjudged the Best Athlete of the event. Shri Dashmesh Academy, Anandpur Sahib were the Runners-Up. For the girls from The Lawrence School, Lovedale, it was their sixth win in a row. Welham Girls’ School, Dehradun finished second. Khushbeen Waraich of YPS, Patiala was adjudged the Best Athlete amongst girls.
Anirudh Chaudhary, Treasurer BCCI and Secretary, Haryana Cricket Association was the chief guest. He gave trophies and certificates to the participating teams and mementos to the coaches from various schools and NSNIS trainees. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Chaudhary lauded the students for their spirit of sportsmanship and expressed the hope that many of them would go on to represent their country later in their lives.
