The 14th Annual Education World India School Rankings survey concluded in December has ranked The Punjab Public School, Nabha No. 10. A sample respondents database of 11,368 SEC (socio-economic category) ‘A’ parents, educationists, principals, teachers and senior school students in 28 cities and education hubs across India were interviewed to rate the country’s Top 2,000 schools on 14 parameters of education excellence. The massive exercise was undertaken in association with C fore, Delhi. PPS made a total score of 1219. The parameters included teacher welfare & development, competence of faculty, academic reputation, co-curricular education, sports education, life skills education, individual attention to students, leadership/management quality, parental involvement, infrastructure provision, internationalism, special needs education, value for money and community service. On receiving the award, Mr Ajay Singh, Headmaster, PPS attributed the rankings to the students, teachers and the management whose concerted efforts over the years have paved the way for tall standing of PPS in the comity of schools in the country. He said the ranking has raised the bar to perform better next time.
