PPS taekwondo squad sets standards

Eleven (11) students from PPS took part in the 2nd MK Classic Open International (Online) Taekwondo Championship-2020 from December 4-6, 2020. They a bagged a total of 11 medals–4 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze. It was a challenging competition which enlisted the participation of professionals from Iran, Indonesia, France, Venezuela, Nepal, Ukraine, Armenia, Kuwait, Ireland, Tunisia, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Colombia, Uzbekistan, Costa Rica and Kazakhstan. The eminent panel of judges comprised Chea Sarath (Cambodia), Ferdiansyah (Indonesia), Bishow Raj Bayung Rai (Nepal), S Kothandan and W Rajeswar Meitei (India).

Mr Ajay Singh, Headmaster, The Punjab Public School complimented the students on their stupendous feat and expressed the hope they would continue to take part in such competitions in future as well. Besides, he congratulated Mr Dharam Dutt Vyas, Taekwondo Coach who successfully completed the KUKKIWON’s 2nd Dan Taekwondo Promotion Test on 14 June 2020 under the aegis of World Taekwondo Headquarters Kukkiwon, South Korea.
