PPS Nabha celebrated the National Sports Day by honouring the sportsmen in various games by presenting them colours in the Special Assembly conducted this morning in the Pavate Hall. Head Master Dr Jagpreet Singh presented various colours, certificates and medals to budding sportsmen for their achievement in various arenas. He complimented all the athletes for bringing laurels to the school and motivated them to play games with the true spirit of a sportsman.

      ONA Nabha Chapter honoured the Meritorious Students (2017-18) in a brief ceremony held at Pavate Hall on Aug 24, 2018. Alumni honoured the toppers by presenting books. It was followed by high tea. 
        As part of the project Muskaan, the young Nabhaites took an initiative of celebrating Raksha Bandhan with the elderly by visiting Old Age Home, Patiala. The interaction kicked off with students reciting prayer. On entering, the students were briefed about the history and mission of the institution by the force behind the place. The Old Age people shared their stories, some brought smiles while some got overwhelmed. Students distributed and shared sweets. Children sang songs, enlightened their day by sharing the most valuable possession-time with the elderly. Everyone gave a powerful departing message to love and look after one's parents forever. The elderly thanked the children for making it possible and children ensured them of spending more time in future. 
          J K Kate Literary Conclave entered the final day with the morning witnessing the Finals of Spell  Bee Competition. Wynberg Allen emerged as the Spell Bee Champ. Post tea break had finals of Debate between Vivek High School, Chandigarh and YPS, Mohali. It was followed by the prize distribution ceremony. Mrs Jyotsna Brar, Honorary Member and Member, IPSC Trust  gave away the prizes to winners and participating teams. Wynberg Allen School, Mussoorie lifted the overall trophy for All India Inter School Knowledge Conclave -2018. Mrs Brar in her address complimented the participants for performing exceedingly well. She congratulated the team PPS for setting up new benchmarks. She also presented token of appreciation to the judges. Head Master presented a token of deeply felt love and gratitude to Mrs Brar for gracing the occasion. Dr Jagpreet Singh proposed vote of thanks and extended thanks to all the participating teams for making it an eventful Conclave.

            J K Kate Memorial All India Inter School Knowledge Conclave -2018 (Day 2- Session 2)
            Quiz and Book Review set the stage for deliberations ..!   ...

            The evening kicked off withQuiz and Maj General K S Nijjar gracing the occasion as Chief Guests. Wits, humour, guesses kept the audience engrossed. In his speech to the gathering Maj Gen Nijjar fondly recalled the Founder Head Master J K Kate and his family. The quiz was followed by Book Discussion with the author Ms Nazia Erum moderating the session herself. Mrs Keerat Nijjar graced the occasion. Mrs Jyotsna Brar, Ms Sujata Parashar judged the competition. The evening also witnessed Ms Parbina Rashid, an eminent writer. Brig Prit Pal Singh and Mrs Singh were also present for the same. The session concluded with some constructive deliberations. The day concluded with Head Master’s Dinner.

              J K Kate Memorial All India Inter School Knowledge Conclave -2018 (Day 2- Session 1)
              Bevy of writers, authors add literary flavour to the Knowledge Conclave   ...

              Day 2 witnessed the Story Telling session. Participants narrated stories in the most dramatic style captivating the audience. It was followed by the Semi Finals of Debate with teams brainstorming on the much debatable topics.
              Chief Guest for the session, Ms Sujata Parashar shared the nuances of Story Telling. Head Master Dr Singh presented a token of deeply felt gratitude to Ms Parashar. 
              Post lunch session started with Judges having a tough time judging the Inaugural Wall Magazine on the theme ‘Humans Progressed and Nature Regressed’. It was followed by Creative Writing- Craft a Poem where students crafted a Poem on the basis of images shown. 
                The Punjab Public School, Nabha kicked off the 18th J K Kate Memorial All India Inter School Knowledge Conclave scheduled for next three days. 18 teams across the country are participating in eventful and knowledgeable Conclave. The opening ceremony was graced by Maj General J S Sandhu as the Hon’ble Chief Guest. Brig Prit Pal Singh and Mrs Singh also attended the ceremony as Guest of Honour. 
                Literary figures, young writers and authors are attending the Conclave. Chief Guest, Maj Gen Sandhu in his speech dwelt on the debatable topics in his witty and lively style. Head Master Dr Jagpreet Singh presented a token of deeply felt love and gratitude to the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour Brig Prit pal Singh. Dr Singh proposed vote of thanks and wished all the participating teams all the very best for next three days.
                Day 1 witnessed the brainstorming prelims of debate with children debating on topics like ‘Awards are better than rewards’, Fashionable is not comfortable etc. Students also tried their luck in preliminary rounds of Quiz and Spell Bee. The day concluded with students designing the Wall Magazine themed “Humans progressed and nature regressed”. 


                  Oath Taking Ceremony for School Appointments was held today in the Pavate Hall. The evening started with the Head Master leading the School Appointments in the auditorium. Head Master conducted the special assembly. Citations highlighting the achievements were read out. Head Master administered oath to the new office bearers and presented them the new badges. 
                  In his address to the Appointments and proud parents gathered for the evening, he congratulated everyone and promised to extend all support to them in taking school to all heights of glory. Sehajpal Randhawa and Jasmohit Kaur were appointed Head Boy and Head Girl respectively. The ceremony came to end with the National Anthem. It was followed by Head Master’s Dinner. 
                  Congratulations to the new office holders and proud parents !! 

                      With an aim to bring the much deserved smile on every girl in our society, young Nabhaites launched the project in a special assembly . Sending out a strong message and appeal to the audience, the team shared their roadmap which will include street plays, awareness programmes, rallies, peer educators etc. It targets to educate menfolk to bring a change for the better in society. 
                      Head Master Dr Singh officially kicked off the project and appealed the young men to join in for the cause. 
                      He also gave away the medals and certificates to winners of various Inter House and Open Competitions held in school.
