The Punjab Public School, Nabha hosted the All India IPSC Brass Band & Pipe Band Competition for Boys and Girls-2018 from January 19-21, 2018. 11 prestigious schools of the country took part in the event. Brig Pritpal Singh, Station Commander, Nabha presided over the Opening Ceremony on January 19, 2018. The various contingents were judged on rigorous parameters in the 3-day competition. Maj Gen PPS Bal (Retd) was the chief guest on the Closing Ceremony. He gave away certificates, prizes and trophies to the participants. All India IPSC Band Competition Winners Trophy for Brass Band went to Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, Pilani. Mody School, Lakshmangarh lifted the All India IPSC Band Competition Winners Trophy for Pipe Band. In Brass Band, Rashi Kanodia from Mody School, Lakshmangarh was adjudged the Best Drummer. Toshani Singh from Birla Balika Vidyapeeth, Pilani was declared the Best Band Leader. In Pipe Band, Abhishek Kumar from LK Singhania Education Centre, Gotan was the Best Piper. Pavitra Choudhary, Mody School, Lakshmangarh was adjudged the Best Drummer. Nazafreen Palia from The Rajkumar College, Rajkot was declared the Best Band Leader. Speaking on the occasion, Maj Gen Bal complimented the various contingents for putting up an excellent show. He narrated at length the journey of Band from the Ottoman Empire to the modern times. Dr Jagpreet Singh, Headmaster, The Punjab Public School gave Maj Gen Bal (Retd) a token of deeply felt love and gratitude.
