Gandhi Jayanti & Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti Celebrations

PPS celebrated the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi & the second Prime Minister of India Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri with great enthusiasm in the Pavate Hall at 9.00 am. Sirjana Kaur, Kanishk Goyal and Ishmeet Kaur expressed their thoughts on the relevance of the day in English, Hindi and Punjabi respectively. The assembly was conducted by Amanpreet Deo. The school choir sang Vaishnav Jan and Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram. Speaking on the occasion, Headmaster Dr DC Sharma dwelt at length on the significance of the ideology of Mahatma Gandhi and Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri. He called upon the students to read the Mahatma’s writings to understand him for the growth and development of the nation. The assembly concluded with the national anthem.
