The cadets of NCC (Air Wing) under the aegis of 3 Punjab Air Sqn NCC, Patiala participated in Fit India Freedom Run launched virtually by Shri Kiren Rijiju, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports on the eve of the 74th Independence Day. Fit India Run is an extension of Fit India Movement started by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in 2019. The minister called upon everyone in the country to run at their respective place and at their own pace at a time convenient to them between August 15 and October 2. In the run-up to the 151st birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the exercise will enlist the participation of all countrymen during the challenging times of COVID-19 pandemic. The cadets from PPS Nabha not only took part in Fit India Run at their respective places but also attended a webinar along with 1st Officer Shahid Ahmed on August 15 conducted by Shri Kiren Rijiju on Fit India. Set to be a fitness phenomenon in days to come, the cadets from PPS are leaving no stone unturned. They have even taken to jogging, walking, running and aerobics daily. Dr Rakesh Alfred, Headmaster (Officiating) complimented the efforts of the cadets and expressed the hope the rest of the school will also join the campaign so as to reach its final culmination on October 2.
