Annual Training Camp-58 for NCC Naval Wing cadets was held at St Soldier Divine Public School, Naya Nangal. 20 cadets along with CTO Davinder Kumar Dutt of the Naval Wing from The Punjab Public School participated in the 10-day camp. The camp was organised by the 1 Punjab Naval Wing Unit Naya Nangal from June 2-11, 2022. About 345 cadets of NCC category JD and JW participated in this camp from various schools, institutions and colleges. The camp was run under the flag of the Commanding Officer Capt (IN) Anil Kumar Mehta. The cadets were provided intensive training in PT, Drill, Parade, Firing and Ship Modelling. Classes were organised covering NCC syllabus comprising orientation, communication, seamanship, boat work, ship modelling, personality development, social and health awareness, etc. ‘Yoga Divas’ was celebrated during the camp and many yoga asanas were performed by the cadets. Commanding Officer Capt (IN) Anil Kumar Mehta delivered a lecture on the “Importance of Yoga”. Debates, group discussions and a quiz were organised to select the best cadet of the camp. S-00479 Shrey Jindal was adjudged the Best Cadet of the camp. The cadets played various games like volleyball, kho-kho, dodging ball and tug-of-war. PPS cadets formed part of the team that stood first in tug-of-war. Besides, a cultural show was organised involving many cadets who performed various items. The cadets from PPS performed Bhangra. The cadets from PPS were in ‘Ranjit’ Division. They made their Division proud by winning medals in various camp activities.
