PPS celebrates 63rd Founders’ Day

Punjab Guv presides over the function
The Punjab Public School, Nabha celebrated its 63rd Founders’ Day on November 8, 2023. Shri Banwarilal Purohit, Governor of Punjab & Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh and Chairman, the School Board of Governors was the chief guest. He took the salute and inspected the Guard of Honour. Headmaster Dr DC Sharma conducted the assembly and presented the School Report. The Lifetime Achievement Award for the year 2023 was conferred on Late Shri Shiv Mohan Lal Nigam, ex-Physics teacher. His daughter Ms Deepshika received the honour on his behalf. The Award of Roll of Honour was conferred on Lt Gen Vinay Sharma, PVSM, SM, VSM (Retd) for the year 2021 and Shri Umesh Munjal, Managing Director, Highway Industries Ltd for the year 2023. The President’s Championship Trophy for Senior Cock House for the year 2023 was lifted by Beas House. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Purohit complimented the staff and students for organising an excellent show. Head Girl Shirin Randhawa proposed the vote of thanks. Shri Partap Singh Bajwa, Leader of the Opposition in Punjab Legislative Assembly, Shri Jai Singh Gill, IAS (Retd), President, Executive Committee & Member, Board of Governors, Lt Gen TK Sapru, PVSM, YSM (Retd), former GOC-in-C, Western Command & Member, Board of Governors, Mr AS Miglani, IAS (Retd), Member Board of Governors, Brig Vijay Dalal, Station Commander, Nabha & Member, Board of Governors, Lt Gen Karanbir Singh Brar, AVSM, GOC HQ, Dakshin Bharat Area and Shri Gurdev Singh Dev Mann, MLA, Nabha were present on the occasion.
