PPS celebrates 75th Republic Day

The 75th Republic Day was celebrated at The Punjab Public School with great enthusiasm. The proceedings got underway with the arrival of Headmaster Dr DC Sharma at the Headmaster’s Green at 9.00 am. All the three wings of the NCC were in attendance. He unfurled the national tri-colour and inspected the guard of honour. Gurleen Kaur, Mannat Tangri and Gurmanpreet Kaur expressed their thoughts on the relevance of the day in English, Hindi and Punjabi respectively. The school choir sang two patriotic songs–Vande matram and Janani ki jai jai gayenge, Bharat ka dhwaj laharaenge. Tejasveer Badyal conducted the event. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Sharma emphasised the importance of abiding by the Constitution to be ideal citizens.
