PPS organises Mini-Founders’ Day as a prelude to 64th Founders’ Day
The Punjab Public School kicked off the 64th Founders’ Day celebrations in style on Saturday. A Variety Entertainment Programme was organised in the evening. It comprised Orchestra, PowerPoint Presentation on Activities in School, Semi-classical Dance, an English Play “The Proposal” by Anton Chekov, Giddha and Bhangra. Solo Songs by Parikalpna Gupta and Aadhya Negi added charm to the colourful evening. Mr Rajeev Bakshi, a distinguished corporate leader and an alumnus of the school presided over the function. The chief guest gave away prizes to students for academic and co-curricular activities. Twelve (12) teachers were given Headmaster’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Bakshi reminisced his days while in school and exhorted the student community to work hard to carve a niche for themselves in a highly competitive world. Proposing the vote of thanks, Headmaster Dr DC Sharma thanked Mr Bakshi for sparing some time from his busy schedule to make it to the function. He presented the chief guest with a token of deeply felt respect and gratitude. In the afternoon, President, Executive Committee, Shri Jai Singh Gill and Mr Bakshi visited the various exhibitions put up by students.
